We took part in this year's National Spring Clean, helping keep Dalkey tidy. Each class took a different area of Dalkey to clean and we had great fun along the way. Check out pictures of our clean up below: We planted a wildflower area at the front of the school to help biodiversity in our school garden. The area is bare at the moment but will hopefully look beautiful soon with lots of colourful summer flowers to attract pollinators to our garden!
A huge congratulations to everyone in the school as we found out that we have achieved our fifth Green Schools flag. Everyone in the school has put in massive amounts of work on the biodiversity theme as well as keeping up our work on previous themes and it has paid off!
We would like to give special thanks to our Green Schools committee, our staff representatives Ms O'Neill, Marvin Bautista (caretaker), Ms Buckley and Mr Smith as well as our parents representative David Prior. Thank you to everyone else who has helped out with workshops, talks and any other activities which contributed to our biodiversity theme. Representatives from our committee will collect our flag in The Helix on the 23rd May at 10:30am and we look forward to this celebration of our work over the past three years! |
